Enrolment Requirements
Subject to the Regulations on Full-time Tertiary Enrolment of the Ministry of Education and Training, promulgated in conjunction with Decision No. 05/2008/QĐ-BGDĐT issued on 5 Feb 2008 by the Minister of Education and Training.

Classrooms
The University has 2 campuses at 131 Luong Nhu Hoc Street and 41 Le Duan Street, Da Nang with 61 classrooms, including 1 computer room and 8 for foreign language training purposes. All rooms are equipped with modern sound and lighting systems; and the great halls with multi-media projectors and microphone system.... to assure teaching quality. In addition, some classrooms are equipped with air-conditioners.
Library
The University, as of December 2012, has a library of 630m2 in area with 16,746 books in total, which is available for readers’ learning and research purposes.

 23 lecturers and personnel (including 1 associate professor, 2 doctors, 9 masters, 4 master candidates and 7 bachelors)

  • Seminars on career exchange and employment consultation for students;
  • Available food, beverage and retail services at the main campus’s cafeteria.
  • Extra-curricular activities, art performances and sport events held by the University’s Youth Union and the Student Association have attracted a great number of students.

Requirements for Learners’ Studying Attitudes
 
 DIS Graduates must:
- maintain strong patriotism and love for fellow-countrymen as well as national pride;
- master principles of professional ethics and willingness to take over tasks assigned;
- are of ambitions and unceasingly strive for learning and self-training to serve the nation’s best;
- abide by the laws of the State;
- be well-behaved and master basic communicative strategies and standard utterances.

Program Objectives and Graduate Attributes
 
  1. KNOWLEDGE
    1. General Knowledge
DIS Students are academically equipped with:
  • Marxism-Leninism’s basic principles, Vietnamese Communist Party’s political line, Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, and basic knowledge in natural sciences, social sciences and humanities relevant to the training program.
  • English proficiency equivalent to Level B1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
  • Basic office computer skills.
  • Knowledge of scientific research on fundamental issues in the specilized field.
  • Extensive knowledge of certain Oriental nations’ history and culture, of cross-culture, of relevant nations’ political and socio-economic issues, as well as Vietnam and regional countries relationships.
1.2. Specialized Knowledge
DIS Graduates should master:
  • Basic and systematic knowledge of social sciences and humanities including international studies.
  • Ability to perceive and analyze world events.
  • Capability to do research on regional and international affairs as well as international relations, and prediction ability.
  • Competence and proficiency in using foreign language as a mean of communication in daily life and in their work.
  • Critical thinking ability.
2. PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:
- Proficiency and effectiveness in communicating in written and spoken English. 
- Sufficient capability to work in such fields as research, teaching or in those related to world affairs and external relations.
- Capability to work independently and collaborate in a group.
- Ability to maintain good harmony with others and to develop information sharing skills.
- Capacity to acquire, analyze and synthesize opinions.

Working positions after graduation
 
DIS Graduates may work in such agencies as:
- Research institutions of all international majors;
- External service agencies, Foreign Affairs Departments, etc.
